In compliance with the mission of Parker College of
Chiropractic, this course is structured to provide the chiropractic student
with an introduction and orientation to the principles of chiropractic. This course presents the current hypotheses and theories of
chiropractic, the basis of chiropractic health care, the causes and effects of
subluxation, and the mechanism of visceral and somatic symptoms and
dysfunctions related to subluxation. This course also presents information
relative to complications and contraindications to the use of chiropractic
adjustments. Emphasis is upon current research projects and papers relating to
the chiropractic premise.
