COURSE DESCRIPTION:   This course deals with the fundamental concepts of radiological interpretation of normal variance and disease processes of the chest and abdomen.  Clinical and lab findings will be correlated with the radiographic depiction of the pathology.  Follow-up diagnostic procedures will be discussed. Additionally, Soft tissue injuries related to the musculoskeletal system including but not limited to tendons/ ligaments and muscle, with a focus on the internal derangment of the knee and shoulder.
 
OBJECTIVES: As discussed in the Mission Statement of the College, Doctors of Chiropractic serve as primary health care providers. As such, this course must prepare the future doctor of chiropractic to recognize a broad range of health conditions that may present in clinical practice. While the emphasis is on pathologic conditions most commonly seen, the course also covers less frequently seen conditions that may need to be referred for treatment by another health care provider, concurrent with conservative chiropractic care.
