Students are expected to review their online accounts for recent activity and pay any amount due by the due date. To ensure notifications are delivered, students and authorized payers should regularly review their contact information and email settings.
The collections process involves collecting accounts with past-due balances from individuals who are not enrolled at Parker University. If you need to speak to one of our collectors about your account, you may contact our Bursar Office at (214) 902-2410 or by e-mail at collections@parker.edu.
Collection activities from Parker University include:
- When a student is no longer enrolled and has not paid the student account balance by the due date, the account will enter internal collections.
- Internal collection efforts to obtain a resolution on the balance owed.
- Emails sent to the preferred email on file for the former student.
- The account will remain in internal collections for approximately 30 days.
- Referral of the delinquent account to an external collection agency if all other efforts have been exhausted.
External Collection Agency
After collection efforts are exhausted, students that have not paid the total balance due or are not enrolled in a Parker University payment plan will have their account referred to an external collection agency for further action.
It’s always beneficial for students to work directly with the Bursar’s Office regarding re-payment options before placement with an external collection agency becomes necessary.
Once a student account has been transferred to an outside collection agency, payment arrangements can no longer be made directly with Parker University Bursar staff. Students will need to contact the collection agency directly to make payment or to discuss the account.
