COURSE DESCRIPTION:

This class will continue to explore and expose the dynamics involved with clinical case management. While a variety of conditions will present to the chiropractors’ office it is important to judiciously determine those who are apt to respond to chiropractic procedures and determine those who need additional referral or consultation by other providers. We will describe, develop, and apply those procedures which comprise the majority of chiropractic practices to clinical conditions. We will also look to apply chiropractic procedures to non-neuromusculoskeletal conditions to identify appropriate co-management strategies that are efficacious to the patient (ie – hypertension, diabetes, hyperadrenamia, dysglycemia).

This course will provide the student with a "starting point" in which to approach clinical cases that he / she may encounter in clinical practice. The course will also provide a dialogue venue in which to portray various thoughts, opinions, and new discoveries to clinical case management. As the patient responds either favorably or unfavorably, direction in management may change accordingly. This course will allow the student to begin to understand the directional changes of patient management and allow them to steer the course with confidence and composure.
