Course Description: This course is a functional approach to college trigonometry. The course is designed to meet three of the six hours of mathematics required for the undergraduate degree in anatomy.  It is also a prerequisite for admission to Physics I. The course covers circular numbers, identities, hyperbolic trigonometric functions and their inverses, vectors, complex numbers, identities, trigonometric equations and transindental functions.

Course Missions, Goals and Objectives: The student will :

1. Learn the six trigonometric functions

2. Define right triangle trigonometry

3. Use radian and degree measure of angle

4. Develop the inverse trigonometric functions

5. Develop identities and formulas

6. Study equations including trigonometric functions

7. Triangles which are not right angles

8. Complex numbers and polar coordinates

9. Exponential and logarithmic functions
