COURSE DESCRIPTION
This course concentrates on the skills and knowledge required to properly perform an optimal radiographic examination.  As a pure laboratory class, emphasis will be placed on patient positioning and protection, technique calculations, and instrument operation.

COURSE OBJECTIVES:
To support the mission of the college, this course is designed to give the future Doctor of Chiropractic the skill and knowledge required to properly perform an optimal radiographic examination.

In order to make a radiographic diagnosis, it is a prerequisite that the student be able to obtain a radiograph of optimum diagnostic quality, with the maximum amount of radiographic information, and the least amount of x-ray exposure to the patient.  "Retakes" are the worst offenders in excess radiation exposure to the patient, and thus the student must have a working knowledge of positioning skills.
