Parker University is a member of NC-SARA, the National Council for State Authorization Reciprocity Agreements. It provides a voluntary, regional approach to state oversight of postsecondary distance education.  

Benefits to students

• Enhances overall quality of distance education
• Reduces a rapidly growing institutional cost that is in one way or another passed along to students
• Should lead to better resolution of complaints from students in SARA states

As a member of NC-SARA, Parker University is permitted to place students for internships, preceptorships, and fieldwork in those states and institutions which are also NC-SARA members. All students, including those participating in distance education courses, must initially follow the Parker University’s Student Complaint Process located in the Parker University Academic Catalog. If a student complaint regarding distance education is not resolved to the student’s satisfaction, the student can follow the Student Complaint Process through NC-SARA.
