Meet Parker - Parker University Security Department Service Dog

In March of 2024, the Parker Security and Campus Safety Department introduced their first service dog, Parker. The Parker Security Department (PSD) embraces community engagement. Service dogs can be a unique way to connect with the community. Dogs transcend cultures, religious beliefs, and political affiliation and are cute and cuddly. With a service dog, the PSD knew it could provide a segue into establishing more robust relationships with our diverse community. Parker, a grey Great Dane, reported to duty March 15th, 2024. Director of Security Darrion (Pete) Peterson is assigned as Parker's handler. Parker will live with Director Peterson and his family when not on duty.
