Mr. Darrion (Pete) Peterson, Director of Security and Campus Safety, is a Certified Security Professional and United States Air Force Veteran with 18+ years of Law Enforcement/ Private Security Experience. He divides his time between providing security expertise and consulting experience to a wide range of clientele, as well as being a forensic security expert as an internal security investigative witness in security driven litigation. Darrion has provided security and consulting training to a broad array of industries such as healthcare, shopping centers, apartment and condominium complexes, manufacturing plants, supply chains, construction sites, educational facilities, and sports and entertainment venues. These services include, but are not limited to, complete security assessments, outsourced management – security support, analysis questionnaires, project management, vendor management, and security design.
Over the last 20+ years, Darrion has received formal and informal training which has furthered his ability to provide unparalleled levels of security services throughout his career. To include but not limited to self-discipline through military training, as well as law enforcement training at Cedar Valley Community College (CVCC) Police Academy where he graduated at the top of his class and received his TCOLE certification through the State of Texas. He has training from CVCC in Business Management (BM) to include Supervision, Management, Human Resources, Problem Solving & Decision Making, Business Principles, and Principles of Management. In all, Darrion fosters business practices, which allows him to enrich an environment through enhanced security protection, to effectively communicate to clientele, guest, staff, internal/ external clientele as well as public relations. Darrion believes in fostering friendship, trust and dependability wherever he may be. He promotes teamwork which is the embodiment of “esprit de corps” and believes in creating a working environment which allows employees to grow and advance in their environment.
