Central Research Training (CRT) Launches
The Central Research Training (CRT) is a series of training modules covering a number of important research-related topics. This course has been added to all faculty accounts in Blackboard - Central Research Training RSCHT-0000.
Butterfly Garden
Included in the CRT is the Scientific Review Committee, or Butterfly Garden. To start, there are no butterflies. Sorry! The Butterfly Garden is simply the least threatening name we could come up with for an official, university-based scientific review committee. Our goal is to facilitate more research at the University, and we're hoping not to scare anyone off before they even get started. The goal of this garden/committee is to provide a judgement-free space for faculty to submit research topics and designs and receive constructive feedback from in-the-field scientists.
The Scientific Review Committee meets on the 15th of each month. Proposals are due to the committee for consideration on the 1st of the month. Proposals can be emailed to research@parker.edu.

Parker University Research Data Repository

The Parker Research Center is developing an institutional research repository that will collect, manage, preserve, and provide open access to research conducted at Parker University. Institutional repositories play a critical role to support current and up-and-coming open access policies and funders requirements for research information management. They are powerful vehicles to host and share accumulated knowledge, showcase a university’s accomplishments in research, and earn peer recognition. Currently, Parker’s Library and Research Center personnel are working to gather data on abandoned/incomplete projects that had data collected from participants within the last eight years to include in the repository that will be hosted within Parker’s Library. You may receive an email from Amanda Watkins, Asst. Director of Research Administration, asking you to provide information for inclusion of a project in the repository. More information will be shared as the repository is created and becomes part of the regular process to conduct research here at Parker University. Thank you for your support in ensuring that Parker University is current with ever evolving regulations and mandates.

eClinicalMedicine Journal Publishes Core Outcome Sets (COS)
Pain stands as the leading factor contributing to disability among adults worldwide. By combining data, core outcome sets (COS) possess the potential to revolutionize pain management and care. Several researchers from across the globe authored a manuscript published in eClincalMedicine that outlines the development of four distinct, comprehensive core outcome sets (COS) aimed at promoting global data harmonization for various pain categories. Ensure you are up-to-date with this information by reading the article here.
