NOTE: This opportunity is offered each trimester. Only donations made through a Carter BloodCare center or mobile site will count towards assembly credit or drawing.
- DC & DCB Students: Earn one (1) General Assembly Credit for each donation. (Limit 1 credit per trimester.)
- Non-DC Students: Receive one entry into a gift card drawing for each donation. (Limit 1 entry per trimester).
Verification of Carter BloodCare Donation:
- The day after your donation, using a computer (not a mobile device, as names are not visible on mobile site) login to your Carter BloodCare Donor Portal to see your donation history: https://www.carterbloodcare.org/
- Take a screenshot of your donation, making sure to include the section on the left sidebar that shows your first name.
- Click on the following link to complete the verification form and upload a copy of your donation screenshot to receive 1 General Assembly Credit or drawing entry: Verification of Carter BloodCare Donation Form
All verifications must be submitted by Friday, April 10, 2026. Late submissions will not be accepted.

🟡 Platelets
- ⏱️ up to 2 hours
- 🔄 Every 7 days (up to 24x/year)
- 📦 Shelf life: 5 days
- ❤️ Critical for cancer patients, bleeding disorders, transplants, trauma patients
💧 Plasma
- ⏱️ 30-40 minutes
- 🔄 Every 28 days (up to 13x/year)
- 📦 Frozen up to 1 year
- ❤️ Used for liver disease, burn, trauma, and shock patients; makes medications for immune disorders
